About Me

Hi! I'm Dacia, a passionate and experienced birth doula dedicated to supporting families through their unique childbirth journeys. With a deep understanding of the diverse paths that birth can take, I bring a wealth of personal experiences and professional knowledge to my role as a doula.

My journey into the world of birth support began when I became a mother myself. I've had the privilege of experiencing childbirth in various ways, including a medicated birth, a cesarean section, surrogacy, a homebirth, and a successful VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). These diverse experiences have given me invaluable insights into the different aspects of the birthing process and the emotional and physical challenges that can arise. My dedication to helping families navigate the transformative journey of childbirth led me to become a certified birth doula.

Drawing on my personal experiences, I provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to expectant parents as they make informed decisions about their birth plans. I believe that every birth is a unique and beautiful experience, and my role is to ensure that you feel empowered and informed throughout your journey.

I've been married for seven years to my loving and supportive partner. Together, we are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Ettalia and Holland. My experiences as a mother have deepened my understanding of the joys and challenges of parenthood, which I bring to my work as a doula. In addition to my work as a doula, I am an aspiring herbalist with a passion for the healing power of plants. I believe in the holistic approach to wellness and draw on my herbalism knowledge to support families with natural remedies and self-care practices during the prenatal, birthing, and postpartum periods.

My mission as a birth doula is to provide unwavering support, encouragement, and advocacy to families during one of life's most profound moments—the birth of a child. Whether you are planning a medicated birth, considering a homebirth, hoping for a VBAC, or navigating the complexities of a cesarean section, I am here to stand by your side, offering guidance, comfort, and a deep respect for your choices.

Services

A complimentary consultation
Over two prenatal visits, we'll establish a personalized birth plan, dive into the stages of labor, and discuss any specific concerns or requests you might have for the big day. We'll also educate you about baby care, so you're confident and well-equipped.
Our support doesn't stop there. We'll remain available via phone or email throughout your entire pregnancy and nursing relationship, so you never feel alone.
You'll have access to an extensive library filled with essential information on birth, nursing, postpartum care, and children's health.
As your due date approaches, we'll be on-call 24/7, ready to jump into action whenever you need us.
We'll be there to provide continual labor support, whether at home or in the hospital, for as long as you need us. Unlimited hours, unlimited care.
After your little bundle arrives, we'll be by your side to offer postpartum care and breastfeeding assistance. We'll even take pictures during the labor process and birth of your baby, if desired.
And to make sure you're all set, we'll schedule one postpartum home visit within two weeks of your baby's birth, with more visits available if needed. Plus, we'll continue to offer breastfeeding support throughout your entire nursing relationship.
You're not just another client to us. You're family, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

Dacia was our doula during the birth of our first child, a baby girl born in July. She was absolutely amazing to work with. I met with her twice before the birth, she attended the birth and then came to our home after the baby was born. I had a birth plan but things shifted when our baby girl was a week late and I was induced. I was frustrated with communication from my physician, Dacia offered me support and suggestions to navigate those challenges. Once I was induced, she stayed connected with my husband - showing up to the hospital promptly when she was needed in the wee hours of the morning. She supported me during some difficult moments with the epidural - I had a few reactions like nausea and vomiting but she brought so many amazing tools/techniques to support me. My husband was amazing throughout the entire process but having Dacia in addition to him was so helpful. I don’t think we could’ve done it without her! I plan to use a doula again, hopefully Dacia, for my next birth and recommend it to all my friends now after having such an amazing experience with Dacia. Dacia has a very calming personality that helped ease my mind throughout the entire process.

I’m so glad we worked with Dacia! She is very easy-going and most important, passioned about babies. Having her available 24h after 37 week eased the anxiety of the upcoming birth. Her calmness and confidence helped a lot during the delivery. Neither I nor my hubby couldn’t imagine the whole process without her guidance and massages:) Dacia taught me how to breathe properly which was crucial for the painful contractions and strong pushes. When unplanned things popped up, she was our stabilizer. It was the best decision to have her as our doula, totally recommend her!

Dacia was my doula for the birth of my son on December 2, 2023. I truly don’t think I would have been able to accomplish the natural birth of my dreams without her support. She was such a good resource when I needed to make hard decisions during the pregnancy and she never left my side for one second during my labor.
